The Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band began their outdoor season in the sunshine at the Dunbar RBL contest on Saturday 10th May.  A long winter of preparation and a new practice regime promised to make the upcoming season a very interesting prospect.

Unfortunately, the band were not to make the prizelist, instead finishing seventh.  Although the band were satisfied with their performance, improvements can be made in time for the Scottish Championships on Saturday 24th May.  The MacKenzie Caledonia Pipe Band took the win in Grade 3 after a confident performance.

Also in Grade 3, City of St. Andrews placed 2nd, taking the drumming prize in the process.  Lanark & District marked their promotion to Grade 3A by placing third and Pitlochry & Blair Atholl continued their prizewinning ways by taking fourth place.

The Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band would like to thank Pipe Major Ian Duncan for his assistance and would also like to congratulate the prize winners.  See you in Dumbarton!
