It is with great pleasure that we announce that Euan Cowan was appointed Pipe Major of the Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band at the band’s AGM on October 4^th 2011.  Euan takes over from Chris Shearer, who stepped down at the end of the 2011 season.  Euan most recently was a member of the Dumfries & Galloway Constabulary Pipe Band, following spells with Annan Ex-Service Club Pipe Band and was a member of the 1^st Battalion Scots Guards where he earned his Pipe Major’s Certificate.

Euan will be assisted by Craig Cowan, who takes over the position of Pipe Sergeant from Ian Nicholson.  Craig most recently played with the Dumfries & Galloway Constabulary following a long spell with Annan Ex-Service Club Pipe Band where he held the position of Pipe Major in 2000 and Pipe Sergeant from 2001 to 2003.

We wish both men well in their new roles.
