The Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band walked away with four trophies at the Dumfries & District Music Festival, held at Locharbriggs Primary School on Saturday 8th March.  The contest has been very good to the band over the years and this year was no different.

In the Adult Trio contest, Pipe Major David McCracken, Pipe Sergeant Chris Shearer & Lee Maxwell were the winning trio, with David McCracken, Garry Hawkins & Kevin Bell making it a one-two finish for the band.  Lochmaben Pipe Band placed third.  The trio of Chris Shearer, Irvine Torbett & Ian Nicholson also played but did not make the prizelist.

In the Juvenile Trio contest, the trio of Chris Shearer, Kirstie Hetherington & Dean Hetherington were the winners, with Kirkcudbright & District 'B' in second and Lochmaben in third place.  The trio of Chris Shearer, Ashleigh Bell & Kyle McKie also participated but were unlucky to miss out on the prizes.

The band were also represented in the Adult Solo Piping, with Kevin Bell and Lee Maxwell participating, but unfortunately they did not make the prizelists.

The band would like to congratulate all prize winners and competitors.
